(The Daily Express, Malaysia) - A 48-year-old Filipino was jailed 18 months by the Magistrate's Court here Tuesday for theft of a handbag belonging to a tourist from Taiwan at the waterfront here two months ago.
Antonio Abel Vailoces pleaded guilty before Magistrate Zaini Fisher to stealing the handbag containing Chen Mei Yu's personal documents, cash and jewellery worth RM32,000 at 12.30pm on Feb 23 at the Kohinoor North Indian Restaurant.
