by Larry Lopez

Residents and visitors of the city would find Christmas surprises in the holiday bazaar sales organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) provincial office.

Benita Mangadap of DTI-Kalinga said the five-day holiday sale from December 15 – 19 showcases Kalinga products of fashion, décor items, ornamentals, gifts and home needs.

For wider array of display, organizers opened the activity to guest exhibitors from Benguet, Ifugao, Quirino and Apayao.

Started in 2001, through the auspices of the Chamber of Kalinga Producers, Inc (CKAPI), the Christmas bazaar has become a tradition in the province.

According to Mangadap, the activity is answer to the buying mood of people during the holidays when demand for gift items and home needs is up.

Most of the exhibitors invited are regular clients of DTI under its product promotion and development program.

This year, there are 21 exhibitors who participated with delightful products that would suit every buyer's choice and preference, Mangadap claimed.
