Hospital in San Carlos, Negros Occidental, Philippines

A new city hospital worth P150 million is set to rise at Hda. Sta. Ana, Brgy. Palampas. Groundbreaking rites were already conducted last Dec. 8.

City PIO staff Noel Mondragon said the first phase of the project includes the construction of an emergency room, pharmacy, administrative office, clinical laboratories, admitting section, out-patient department, doctors' offices, among others.

The Department of Public Works and Highways, through Wilkinson Construction, implemented the first phase of the project with a budget of P20 million from the funds of Cong. Jules Ledesma and P2 million from Kasangga Partylist.

The city and the provincial government of Negros Occidental pledged P30 million each for the succeeding phases of the construction.

The contractor has 300 calendar days to complete the project and the City Engineering Department will monitor the quality of work.
