Doubts About Philippines Natural Disaster Website Info

We volunteers stumbled upon a website called philippinesnaturaldisaster.info which calls for people to donate money to earthquake victims in Negros Oriental. The website is using Paypal and a third-party website to receive donations.

We have serious doubts. First, there is no legitimate organization being introduced who will manage the fund. Is this an individual who is trying to get donations or an legal charity group?

Second, we don't have the address and contact person or office of the one who will get the donation. The fact that it is being anonymous raises serious doubts.

Third, there is no assurance or provisions as to how the donations will be distributed. People must know where their money will go.

And lastly, this is the age of Internet. It can be used for good or it can be used for evil. People must be extra careful how they send or use their money online.
