Best Ilonggo Cuisine

The Iloilo Hotels, Restaurants and Resorts Association (IHRRA) is set to present the best Ilonggo cuisine to the people and revelers of the Dinagyang Festival with its yearly Dinagyang Food Festival starting on Thursday until Sunday.

IHRRA president Alberto Ong of Mansion Garden Restaurant and vice president for restaurant Happy Abenir of Love and Kisses Pizza said the 21st year of Dinagyang food festival along Delgado starting at Iznart up to Valeria streets promises to be a satisfying food trip and fun with nightly musical bands.

IHRRA has a total 65 membership but only 36 hotels and restaurants in the city will participate in the four-day food festival.

Abenir said the food festival site is open for public dining on Thursday and Friday starting at 4:00 p.m. until midnight. But lunch will also be served on Saturday and Sunday for revelers as the Dinagyang fever reaches its pitch on the last two days.

Food prices at the festival site will be much lower than those offered in restaurants and hotels so that the revelers who failed to go for fine dining at the restaurants will have the chance to taste and enjoy the Ilonggo cuisine.

San Miguel Corp. will provide the nightly musical entertainment for the food fest patrons with the Manila-based Spongecola Band on Friday evening.
