Commission on Elections and Smartmatic-TIM

The Supreme Court denied the petition for a temporary restraining order on the implementation of the contract of the winning bidder in the supply of CF cards for the May 13, 2013 midterm elections.

In a one-page en banc resolution, the SC denied the petition for certiorari, mandamus and prohibition with issuance of temporary restraining order filed by LDLA Marketing represented by Norlito Domantay against the Commission on Elections and Smartmatic-TIM.

Instead, the SC en banc ordered the respondents to file their respective comment within a "non-extendible period" of five days from notice.
