Editor-in-Chief
(National Capital Reg - Mandaluyong City)
Responsibilities:
* Provides over-all direction in matters concerning the operations and content of the assigned magazine.
* Establish goals for the editorial team, leads all planning efforts and analyze performance of the magazine's market reach.
* Approve conceptualized feel of the magazine after thorough review with the editorial group.
* Approve and monitor editorial schedules, deadlines and content of the magazine;
* Decide on final articles for production and printing.
* Final-editing of all accepted articles.
* Maintain and establish contact with contributors and editors about the status of their articles;
* Represent the Press at professional meetings and conventions as appropriate.
* Contribute to team effort and act as the group advisor in reminding schedules for deadlines and making sure that quality will still be at its finest despite strict deadlines.
* Delegate work assignments and review and evaluate all stories and articles to be included in the magazine.
Requirements:
* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Journalism, Mass Communications, Advertising/Media or equivalent.
* Applicants should have excellent management and people handling skills.
* Must be well-versed in topics related to goodhousekeeping and parenting;
* Very strong written communication and editing skills.
* Must have extensive experience in handling a team of editorial people.
* At least 4 year(s) of working experience in a managerial capacity.
* Applicants should be Filipino citizens or hold relevant residence status.
* Preferably Assistant Manager / Managers specializing in Journalist/Editor or equivalent. Job role in Management or Editor.
