Capiz province has now its own new police crime laboratory located at the compound of the Department of Public Works and Highways 1st Engineering District.
The crime laboratory was inaugurated by no less than Capiz Gov. Victor Tanco, Sr., as guest of honor; Supt. Cipriano Querol, PNP regional director; Chief Supt. Lorlie Arroyo, director of the Crime Laboratory at the Police National Headquarters, and other top ranking police officials last Friday afternoon.
Tanco said that it's a good gist for Capiz to have its own crime laboratory. Earlier, evidences like those of illegal drugs needing laboratory examinations, were being brought to Iloilo City.
"This is a big of help to our fight against criminalities," Tanco said. He then thanked Querol, Arroyo and the other top ranking police officials for it.
The governor considered the project as a joint undertaking as he vowed to have the provincial government extend 100 percent support to the crime laboratory operations and maintenance.
