The Pag-IBIG Fund recently signed an agreement with the Laguna-based car manufacturing firm, Honda Cars Philippines Inc. to provide employees with house financing services.
As lead signatory to the housing pact, lawyer Darlene Marie B. Berberabe, president and CEO of the Pag-IBIG Fund expressed appreciation to the Laguna-based car firm for the partnership agreement.
"We are deeply honored that Honda Cars Philippines responded to our invitation to provide our services to their hard working employees," Pag-IBIG's top lady executive remarked after the signing rites.
The government's provident corporation Pag-IBIG Fund has adopted the pro-active approach to reach out to different employers nationwide and Honda is among the first companies that responded positively to its offer.
"Signing this agreement is just the start and we hope to see constructed houses and families of Honda employees living in their dream houses," said Berberabe.
For his part, Tatsuya Natsume, president and general manager of Honda Cars expressed optimism on the public-private partnership agreement.
Natsume affirmed: "This agreement is formalizing the partnership towards uplifting the welfare and living conditions of our employees as this will serve as a good venue and opportunity for homeownership."
The Japanese top business honcho also expressed Honda is fortunate to be one of the pioneering companies to have partnered in the housing endeavor with Pag-IBIG.
The agreement benefits Honda employees as this ensures access to services such as the conduct of pre-qualification to the employees for housing, home matching, pick-up of housing loan applications and delivery of notices of approval.
