Expect the weather to get hotter and the temperature to go up to 36 degrees Celsius on Thursday as the ridge of high pressure area affects the entire Luzon, including Metro Manila, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
PAGASA weather forecaster Nikos PeƱaranda said that due to the ridge of a high pressure area, the entire Luzon will continue to experience warm weather.
PeƱaranda, however, said that Metro Manila and parts of Central Luzon are expected to register temperatures ranging from 24 to 35 degrees Celsius.
He said that 36.7 degrees Celsius was recorded at 4 p.m. on Wednesday in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija while Metro Manila had 34.8, Tuguegarao city in Cagayan, 35.7, and Clark in Pampanga, 35.
Baguio City, the country's summer capital, was not spared from the warm weather as it experienced 26.8 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.
So far, Clark has recorded this year's highest temperature of 38.4 degrees Celsius on April 13.
In its advisory, PAGASA said the whole country will have partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, mostly in the afternoon or evening.
Light to moderate winds from the east to southeast will prevail over Luzon, and coming from the east to northeast over the rest of the country.
