Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno and the Associate Justices of the Supreme Court Wednesday offered their condolences to the families of Atty. Juvian Achas and Dr. Rene Rafols.
Achas and Rafols were killed during the shooting incident Tuesday inside the Cebu City Municipal Trial Court in Cities Branch 6.
The SC also condoled with the loved ones of John Pope, a Canadian national who committed the shooting rampage and later on shot himself dead.
After listening to the verbal report of Court Administrator Jose Midas P. Marquez, Sereno ordered stricter security measures in all courts nationwide.
Sereno and the justices of the SC also urged police authorities to double their efforts to expedite their investigation into the shooting incident which also resulted in the wounding of Prosecutor Maria Teresa Casino.
