At least two more suspects in the killing of a town mayor of Isabela province in Quezon City Tuesday night were arrested in separate follow-up operations, police said Wednesday morning.
Quezon City Police District Station 2 head Superintendent Pedro Sanchez said the two suspects were arrested based on the information provided by the first suspect arrested identified as Christian Flores Pahinado.
Pahinado was arrested shortly after the killing of Maconacon mayor Erlinda Domingo.
Sanchez said one of the suspects, a male, was arrested at Purok 20 in Barangay Commonwealth in Quezon City while the other, a female, was arrested at Barangay Culiat, also in Quezon City.
Recovered in the follow-up operations were firearms and ammunition, he added.
But Sanchez did not immediately name the two as follow-up operations are still ongoing.
Conducting the follow-up operations were the Quezon City police's Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit and Special Weapons and Tactics team.
